Compass invested in CI Capital in March 2017 as part of a consortium acquiring the business from Commercial International Bank. The investment supported a new stage in the financial services group’s development.
CI Capital brought together investment banking, securities brokerage, asset management, and a growing range of non-banking financial services. The group completed an initial public offering in May 2018, providing a partial exit for investors.
Compass announced its full exit in May 2019, completing the investment cycle. The transaction illustrates the firm’s experience with complex acquisitions and public market exits.
