Compass Capital acted as exclusive sell-side adviser to Zahran Market’s shareholders on the sale of a 60% stake to Ezdehar Management. The transaction closed in August 2022.
Founded in Alexandria in 1987, Zahran Market had grown to 16 branches across seven Egyptian governorates at the time of the transaction. The investment followed an expansion and institutionalisation programme led by the family’s second generation.
